Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, including battery management systems (BMS), sensors, and external databases.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure efficient data ingestion, storage, and processing.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations in battery performance data.
  • Design and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract valuable insights and predict battery behavior.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as engineering, R&D, and product management to define data requirements and analysis objectives.
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate findings and key performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot data anomalies or discrepancies, proposing solutions for data quality improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and battery analytics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred; other fields may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, ideally within the energy storage, renewable energy, or automotive sectors.
  • Familiarity with database systems and query languages for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and libraries for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and methods.
  • Experience working in multicultural teams and an interest in intercultural environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a self-organized approach to work.
  • Knowledge of Battery Management Systems is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Long-term experience with large storage systems is beneficial.
