Role Description
As an RBI Research Intern, you will:

- Work within one of the four departments at RBI:

Qualifications Required For Research Internship
Candidates are expected to have strong analytical skills and relevant qualifications as per department requirements:
- DSIM: Postgraduate in Statistics/Econometrics/Economics or B.E./B.Tech. (Computer) or MBA (Finance).
- DEPR: Postgraduate in Economics/Banking/Finance or MBA (Finance).
- SRU: B.Tech./B.E. or postgraduate in quantitative degrees (Economics/Finance/Statistical Science), with expertise in Computer Science or Data Analytics.
- ID: Postgraduate in Economics/Statistics/Finance/International Relations/Finance specializations.
Desirable Qualifications: Proficiency in econometrics, quantitative techniques, and familiarity with software like Stata, Eviews, Matlab, R, or Gauss.
Mode of Selection
Application Window: Applications are accepted twice yearly, for internships beginning on January 1st or July 1st.

Internship Duration & Terms
- Initial Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and department needs.
- Maximum Duration: Up to 2 years, subject to renewal every 6 months for high achievers.
- Notice Period: A one-month notice is required if the intern wishes to discontinue the internship early; otherwise, one month’s stipend will be due.
